In the early morning of today Saturday 10th march, there was a fire out break at ekwama, a small community in the Ogu bolo Local government area of Rivers state.
The fire outbreak started about 3am in the morning and consumed the whole plank houses called “bacha”.
Eye witness said the fire was put under control by the prompt interference of the neighbors and the community people at large who prevented it from burning down the other houses.
The fire however touched a part of the nearby corper’s lodge but to the glory of God no casualties were recorded.
